Applying for Sheltered Housing

Who qualifies for sheltered housing?

If you are interested in applying for sheltered housing you must:

  • Be aged 60 or over
  • Want the security of an alarm system and require the care and assistance from a sheltered housing supervisor
  • Be able to live independently in your own home (with the help of community care services such as home care or meals on wheels)

How to apply

Our sheltered housing policy sets out the process for allocating sheltered properties in partnership with Social Work.
