Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD)

The Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) is a Scottish Government assessment, using a range of socio-economic data to calculate deprivation across small areas known as data zones (approximately 700 people). 

West Dunbartonshire contains 48 data zones that are amongst the most deprived 20% in Scotland.
