The West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust's Active Schools Team have been asking WDC schools to nominate their “Young Sports Stars”. Focusing on pupils who have excelled in physical activity and sport over the course of the school year.
This programme was launched in 2018 to tie-in with the Scottish Government’s first ever “Year of Young People”(YOYP).
Due to the success of the programme we have carried it forward and schools from across the local authority have been continuing to nominate their pupils during 2019-20.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate and highlight the fantastic sporting achievements of the children and young people in West Dunbartonshire.
