The main function of the Licensing Board is to administer the licensing of pubs, hotels, off-sales, restaurants etc., as well as premises providing facilities for gambling, such as betting offices, bingo clubs, etc. under the Gambling Act 2005.
This entails, among other things, dealing with applications for premises licences, personal licences, transfer of licences, permits, etc. and taking appropriate action where, for example, expected standards are not being met or maintained, or legal requirements are not being observed.
